Meet the Simpson family: Micah and Sigrid, and children Azariah, Solomon, Naomi, and Naphtali

Micah grew up in Azusa, Calif. At 20 years old, he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he began interning at New Hope Oahu Foursquare church, the largest church in the state. By the end of his 11-year journey, he was the pastor of youth and young adults at New Hope. During that time, Micah graduated from Pacific Rim Christian University (PacRim), where he met Sigrid.

Sigrid grew up in Honolulu. After graduating from high school, she spent some time in Vancouver (Wash.) and New York (New York) for school, and Tijuana (Mexico) working in an orphanage. She came back to Hawaii to attend PacRim. Sigrid and Micah both served in youth ministry at New Hope, were soon married, and were pastoring youth together. Azariah, Solomon, and Naomi were born in Honolulu.

After 11 years of fruitful and vibrant ministry in Hawaii, the Simpsons were ready for their journey on the mainland to begin. They accepted a youth pastor role at Faith Chapel in Billings, Montana, the largest church in the state. There they spent four years ministering and learning in a new place. After Naphtali was born in 2018, the Simpsons believed that God was calling them to pastor a church in Calif., thus they packed up and moved to SoCal to prepare for that new season.

Micah was appointed as pastor of Plaza Bible Church in Sept. 2019. Micah and Sigrid believe that the future is bright and the road ahead is filled with opportunity as the people of Plaza pursue God’s best together.

We are a Foursquare Church. This means we are apart of a larger body of believers, with great leadership, accountability, and denomination guidlelines.

Our name reflects the unchanging ministry of Jesus Christ and our mission to declare it worldwide. The four squares of our logo represent the four scriptural roles of Jesus as Savior, Baptizer With the Holy Spirit, Healer and Soon-Coming King.
